Mike Pashenee is an active freelance bass trombonist also hailing from Detroit. The "veteran" of the MCBQ, Mike has recorded numerous commercials and jingles in addition to being "first call" for major performing artists who visit the Michigan area. Mike is "at home" in any musical setting and also plays the euphonium.
Mr. Pashenee is the founder of the Acoustic Arts Brass Ensemble which is a project-oriented operation. The projects have ranged from providing brass ensemble features and accompaniment for choir concerts to recording brass repertoire and commissioning new works.
Mr. Pashenee has maintained a musical presence as the bass trombonist with the Fox Theater Orchestra as well as engagements playing all types of music, from jazz to classical, and discovering terrific arrangements for any occasion.
Recent engagements included concerts with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Natalie Cole, the Moody Blues, Barry Manilow, Don Henley, Joni Mitchell, Yes, Michael Bolton, and the Woody Herman Orchestra.
